For ages 7-9 years old, this netball competition is played as part of the weekly Saturday competition with modified rules that build on the core skills in a real game situation.

Netball Queensland have updated the age restrictions for 2018 onward and players now turning 7 can  play in the Under 8 competition.  Saints recommends this option for players who have already completed 1 year of the "NET" division of NetSetGo.

Go!

For ages 10 years old, players are now almost ready for standard competition.

REPRESENTATIVE COMPETITION

Representative Pathways

Talented and committed players are invited to trial for UPNA representative teams, offering a bridge to higher levels of competition and advanced coaching. Through this pathway, our Saints gain vital exposure to state and national selectors while developing their skills in a high-performance environment.

Junior State Age

A fantastic opportunity for younger representative players (12 - 14 years) to gain their first taste of high-level competition in a fun, state-level environment.

Junior State Age can also be an important early step in the representative pathway. While the carnival itself is not a direct selection event for Queensland or Australian teams, it gives players valuable experience in a higher-level competition environment and can help prepare them for future pathway opportunities as they progress through the sport.

Senior State Age

Designed for older teens (15 - 17) to showcase their incredible skills and passion while competing against the very best netball talent in Queensland.

It also provides an important development opportunity for players who are keen to continue progressing in the sport. Senior State Age gives athletes valuable experience in a high-level representative environment, helping them build confidence, resilience, game sense and exposure to strong competition. For players with ambitions to pursue higher representative or elite pathways, it can be a meaningful step in their broader netball journey.

Greater Brisbane Netball League

The Greater Brisbane Netball League, or GBNL, is a higher-level representative competition for players turning 16 or older, with divisions for 16 years, 18 years, 23 years and Opens. It gives committed players the chance to compete against strong association teams from across Brisbane and continue developing their skills in a more competitive weekly environment.

For Saints players who want to keep progressing in netball, GBNL can be an important step in their broader development journey. It helps players build confidence, fitness, resilience and game experience, and can support future representative and performance pathway opportunities, including State Titles, HART Premier Netball League and Netball Queensland talent pathway programs.
